Our Busy Summer!

Sorry for the lack of posts this past month! Mommy's computer crashed and she was so frustrated with technology that she even didn't update my blog! Bad Mommy!  We are having such a busy summer! Mommy finished school at the end of May and Grandma left for Iran (Aria misses grandma SO much) on the 1st of June! Mommy and Aria have been so busy--we started exercise class Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays--we meet other mommys and baby's on the beach and exercise together--it is so much fun! It is a class called Stroller Strides.  Mommy met some really nice mommys there too--so we meet with them on Thursdays for Mommy group.  It is super fun! I also started swimming classes on Fridays--I splash around with other babys--I hope I'm a good swimmer someday!! Here are some photos of me from the last month!!!

San Diego

I visited San Diego this week! My daddy had a conference there and Mommy and I came to visit! I had SO much fun walking around the city with mommy and shopping! I also got to go out to dinner with Aunty Nadia, Uncle Joel and Aunt Merle and my new friends Mister Richard and Misses Seal.  We had fun eating Spaghetti! The next day I got to go to my first baseball game--it was so much fun! I played with lots of Daddys friends and got to stay up very late!! It was so neat. I can't wait to be big enough to go to Sea World and San Diego Wild Animal Park someday!

My Great Uncle Amirs Bday Party

I had so much fun at my Uncle Amir and Opa Herman's bday party! I played with my Aunt Winnie, Uncle Amir, and Aunt Patice a lot. I even listened to some fiddle playing. It was so fun!

Visits from Mommy Friends!

It's been so exciting because I have gotten to meet so many of mommys friends in this last month!!! Here are some photos of me with some of my aunties (and my uncle Zubin too) !!!

Arias 4 months old!

We are having so much fun watching our little girl grow! She is definitely beginning teething as she wants to chew on everything in front of her and has become our little drool monster. Sleep has become easier--every night Papa gives her a bath and then we snuggle her and feed her. She falls asleep and wakes up every 3 hours...this is soooo much better than her sleep routine the first 3 months! Other activities that Aria loves: watching Sesame Street in the mornings and absolutely LOVES Elmo (we think its because he's red), sitting on her mommy's lap every day and slams down on the piano and laughs and laughs (we already know there is a musician brewing in there), going on walks with Grandma, showering with her daddy at nights, jumpig around on her exerciser-saucer, weekly visits to see her Aunt Winnie and Uncle Amir, and going to the mall (she loves to see people).

She also got to go to Vegas and visit her family there. She especially loved to suck on her Uncle Steve's thumb and watch her cousin Aliyah! She can't wait to be old enough to play with her cousin.

She has had many visitors this month--she especially loved meeting some of her Mommy's grad school friends last week and the week before! She spent so many months in mommy's belly sitting in class that it seems like she already knows mommy's school friends.

She also celebrated her mommy's first mother's day! She had so much fun splashing around the pool at her Aunt Robin's house and playing with her cousin Clara and Hayden.

It has been an exciting month! Next week mommy finishes school and she gets to spend 3 months all day with Mommy!!! We are so excited for the summer!

Are we teething?

Aria is growing so fast! She's giggling and smiling all the time! She's also starting to chew everything in her path...is it possible that she's teething? This past weekend, we visited family in Vegas and Aria found her favorite teething toy...her Uncle Steve's thumb! Her colic is getting better and she's sleeping better at night. She is also enjoying colors now--she was mesmerized by her grandpa's orchids!

Aria is 3 months old!

Time is flying by so fast! Today Aria visited her baby GI doctor for a belly check up and we were happy to find out that she has gained lots of weight and has grown. (On our last visit she was underweight because she was throwing up so much of her food). Now she is in the 95th percentile for weight and at the highest percentile for height! Almost 15 pounds and 26 inches!

Also, today the Dr. suggested that we start the "cry it out" method at night. Currently, we hold Aria until she falls asleep. Tonight we are going to feed her, change her, read to her and put her in her crib. The dr. told us that we have to let Aria cry until she falls asleep...it's apparently called self-soothing...something that babies have to learn to do. Grandma Laya and Mommy are not looking forward to hearing Aria cry and Ali suggested we go for a walk because we can't handle listening to her cry. =( Wish us luck...I'll post an update...see if Mommy and Grandma survive the cry it out method.
